Martin David Ginsburg (June 10, 1932 – June 27, 2010) was an American lawyer who specialized in tax law and was the husband of American lawyer and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He taught law at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and was of counsel to the American law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. Ginsburg was born into a family of lawyers. His mother, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton in 1993. His father, Martin D. Ginsburg, taught at Georgetown University Law Center.
